Mapping of Trees (Living Heritage Foundation-NGO and Parvatibai Chowgule College)
The Living Heritage App has been designed and developed in collaborations with botanists and developers for this purpose: to geo-tag trees, ascertain their health and determine the risk factors. The objective is to ensure accountability and assign values for conserving and protecting Goa's green cover for the present and future generations. To preserve biodiversity and its cultural relevance one must be able to document its presence. Once it is captured in the form of data it can be observed, tracked and monitored closely. Sometimes it could even reveal insights that lead to a probable solution. Living Heritage App is an excellent way to engage with local communities and participate in the conservation of our rich heritage.
