The Goa State Higher Education Council and the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Goa, are organising a public keynote address by Nobel Laureate Dr. Venki Ramakrishnan, titled “Why We Die?”, on 14 January 2026 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the S.Z. Qasim Auditorium, CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Dona Paula, Goa. The programme is being organised as a public outreach and academic engagement initiative, with the objective of promoting scientific temper and facilitating interaction with world-renowned scientific expertise.
