Inception
The Centre for Portuguese language & Culture commenced its activities from the academic year 2009-2010. It was inaugurated by H.E. the Consul General of Portugal in Goa, Dr. Paulo Neves Pocinho on 12th July, 2008.
The objective of the Centre for Portuguese Language & Culture (CPLC) is to encourage the learning of Portuguese language and deepen the understanding of Portuguese culture.
Aware that Portuguese is the national language of nine countries in the world and is the second most popular world-language after English, in July 2008, the College inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Instituto Camões, Portugal under the Foreign Ministry of Portugal, to establish our Centre for Portuguese Language & Culture ( CPLC ).
